Medical Fund Donations

We often rescue dogs who need a little bit more TLC, and our medical fund allows us to take on these special pups and provide the extra care they need.. Whether it's a broken limb, a cancer diagnosis, extensive dental cleanings, or parvo puppies, our medical fund enables us to give these dogs a second chance at life. DONATION STORIES

DOGS AT DAYCARE

When Pawsitive Connections (PC) was invited to a local daycare, we weren't sure what to expect, but we are always happy to share our mission with any age group. We were glad to have the opportunity to share what our rescue is all about and what it takes to care for all our PC pups to the grade school children who were ooing and awing over their newest furry friends. We were able to introduce and share the stories of our Permanent Pawsitive Pup Bob, who has a cancer diagnosis, our dog ambassador Mellow, and Mary, who has since found her forever home. What we didn't expect was to receive a generous donation from the daycare staff who fundraised on our behalf.

if you are local to the Kingsburg, CA area and would like PC to visit your daycare, school, elderly home, or even sporting event, please visit our Contact Us page.

We have some big news and would like to start by saying a huge thank you to Sandra and Michael who donated their 2020 Chevy Silverado truck and helped us get back on the road! Last year, our trusty rescue vehicle began experiencing issues and breakdowns after it had amassed over 300,000 miles. We used this vehicle both for day-to-day transports, pickups, and rescue activities, as well as for the weekly Saturday trek from Kingsburg to San Jose for adoption events. Without reliable transportation, we had multiple event cancellations which meant longer wait times for pups looking to find homes. Thanks to the generosity of Sandra and Michael, Pawsitive Connections' hunt for a new transport vehicle is officially over and we are back on the road!

This is such a big deal for us and we feel grateful to everyone who contributed, either by donating to our GoFundMe or simply spreading the word and sharing in our mission. This vehicle and the donations that have and will continue to fund it, will allow us to continue our weekly transport to San Jose for our adoption events, which give our pups the best chance of finding their forever homes. We would also like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who donated to our GoFundMe Page (https://gofund.me/ec83dd2b) or donated to us directly. All the donated funds will be used to support the ongoing financial needs of the transport vehicle, including annual vehicle registration, preventative maintenance, and gas.

We will be calling our new transport truck "Charlie's Chariot" after Michael and Sandra's pup Charlie. It has been so uplifting to see fellow dog lovers come together to make this possible-we wouldn't be able to do it without your support!
